Welcome to Åre
Åre is a winter sports destination that welcomes a large number of foreign guests. Around 10 000 people live in the municipality. Åre hosted the informal meeting of energy ministers on 23–24 July and the informal meeting of environment ministers on 24–25 July.

Abisko, Bergslagen, Gotland island, the High Coast, Laponia World Heritage site and Sarek are legends among hikers and trekkers around the world. And deservedly so. Their impossibly natural beauty is matched only by their pristine state.
