EUROemotion – children’s artwork exhibition in Brussels
The EUROemotion exhibition opened on Thursday, 29 October at Stockholm House in Brussels. The exhibition is made up of pictures drawn by Solna’s pre-school and primary school pupils on the theme of “my feelings about the EU”.
This website is now functioning as an archive and will not be updated. Previously there was a photo here which has been removed for copyright reasons.
Faisant dorénavant office d’archives, ce site n’est plus remis à jour. Ici se trouvait précédemment placée une photo ayant été retirée pour des raisons de droits d'auteur.

The framed original drawings are being handed out to the 3 500 EU delegates who are attending meetings in Solna during the Swedish Presidency. On the back of each picture is the address of a website, which the recipients of the pictures are encouraged to visit to register their name and the place where the picture will hang. After the Presidency, the pictures’ homes will be marked on an online map, so that each pupil can follow his or her drawing’s journey and see where in Europe it has ended up.
“Through the art competition, we have successfully explored the theme of the EU and its core values in an educational way. It is great that the children have had an opportunity to be creative and the results are fantastic. We want to give the visitors something unique and memorable from Solna. At the same time we want to use the Swedish Presidency to increase young people’s knowledge of and interest in the EU”, says Lars-Erik Salminen, Chair of Solna’s municipal executive board.
The exhibition at Stockholm House in Brussels is free and is on until 27 November.
Keep an eye out for the Presidency!
Informal ministerial meetings will be held in seven different locations. There will also be a variety of activities for local residents, such as seminars, exhibitions and readings by authors. These activities will be on the themes of climate change and the Baltic Sea Strategy, both key issues during the Presidency.
