Visit of the European Commission to Stockholm
The European Commission visits Stockholm on 1 July to meet the Swedish Government on the first day of the Presidency. The Commission's visit to the country holding the Presidency is usually the first major event of the Presidency.

During the one-day visit, the Commissioners will meet with ministers both in small groups and in plenary.
The Commission and the Government will attend a reception at the Royal Palace during the afternoon and in the evening they will be present at the opening ceremony for the Swedish Presidency, at Skansen open-air museum.
