The Presidency of the European Union is dismayed at the vandalisation of a mosque on 11 December in Kfar Yasuf southwest of Nablus.

The Presidency welcomes the reaction of Israeli authorities who have condemned this criminal act and initiated investigations. It expects the Israeli authorities to bring those responsible to justice as a matter of urgency. The civilian population in the occupied Palestinian territories which are under the control of Israeli security forces is entitled to full protection against acts of violence.
