Pär Holmgren speaks about weather and climate in Umeå

Where is the weather heading and where is the world heading? Come and listen to the meteorologist Pär Holmgren who will give a lecture on the theme of weather and climate! The seminar will take place at the Umeå City Library on Thursday 8 October at 18.30.

Pär Holmgren, meteorologist and climate strategist.

Pär Holmgren is a well-known meteorologist and climate strategist, well-known from his work at Sveriges Television (Swedish national television). He opens a series of seminars at the Umeå City Library on growth, climate and energy in connection with the informal ministerial meeting on Competitiveness held in Umeå between 14–16 October. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss how Europe can enhance its competitiveness while at the same time addressing today’s climate and energy challenges.

Everyone is welcome to attend! Free entry. Tickets will be available at the information desk at the Umeå City Library.

Organisers: The Government Offices and the Umeå City Library.

At the Umeå City Library you can also find an exhibition and information material on the Swedish Presidency of the EU. The climate issue is one of the priority issues during the EU Presidency in 2009.
